Tenerife Big Cheese in Dublin, and the World
Queso Arico curado pimentón, one of the cheeses produced by the Canary Island co-operative Sociedad Canaria de Formento, won first prize at the World Cheese Awards 2008 in one of the closest ever finishes in its 20-year history.
For the very first time the Awards took place outside the U.K. and was held in Dublin, Ireland in September, with the presentation taking place on October 1.The event was televised in both countries.
